Last week Perth was covered in a blanket of smog. The smog was thick and grey for most of the day and it was uncertain what kind of sunset we would get. However, it turned out to be a spectacular sight. Having had a prior appointment, I nearly missed the spectacle altogether. Thankfully, I just managed to get to the river and caught the end of it. Here are some of my favourite images. All were taken in the space of less than 30 minutes. Before the RedThe sky looked stunning as it gradually transitioned towards nightfall. Stunning Shades of RedOnly moments later, a palette of reds encapsulated the horizon. The warm tones combined with the softness of the fog looked unreal. It was a dazzling grand finale. Lone Paddle-boarderWhile I was taking my photographs, I was captivated by a lone paddle-boarder. His tiny presence stood out among the misty colours, as he paddled up and down the river. It was a surreal scene. I photographed the paddle-boarder at different stages of the sunset.
